Dili, 17 May 2025 — Timor-Leste’s Lead Sample Collection Personnel (SCP) Trainer, Ms. Benvinda Alves, led a national refresher training session for Doping Control Officers (DCOs) at the National Sport Commission (NSC) office in Dili. The training was held shortly after her return from the SEARADO Train-the-Trainer course in Bangkok, Thailand 🇹🇭, where she joined fellow trainers from across Southeast Asia in advancing their skills in doping control.

The refresher session provided an important platform for strengthening local capacity in sample collection procedures. Topics covered included key aspects of both in-competition and out-of-competition testing — from athlete notification and rights, to secure handling of samples and accurate documentation. These practical updates ensure that the national DCO team operates in alignment with international standards.

Through initiatives like this, Timor-Leste continues to invest in the development of its anti-doping personnel and systems. With knowledge-sharing and hands-on training at the forefront, the country reaffirms its commitment to promoting clean, fair, and transparent sport for all athletes.
