Dili, 4 February 2026 –The National Sports Commission (NSC) of Timor-Leste, represented by Ms. Kerry Galhos, attended a two-day study visit to the Indonesia Anti-Doping Organization (IADO) in Jakarta. Supported by the Southeast Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization (SEARADO), the visit aimed to enhance regional collaboration and share knowledge on anti-doping practices between the two neighboring countries.

During the visit, IADO presented an overview of its organization, Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) process, Results Management (RM), and insights on Testing, Education, and Intelligence & Investigation (I&I). Ms. Galhos also observed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between IADO and the Indonesia Sports Nutritionist Association (ISNA) and participated in a Focus Group Discussion at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia on anti-doping education for sports medicine students.

The study visit provided valuable guidance and practical insights to strengthen Timor-Leste’s anti-doping system. IADO reaffirmed its commitment to support Timor-Leste with technical assistance, training, and non-confidential resources, marking an important step toward building a sustainable and effective national anti-doping programme.
