Dili, 11 July 2025 – In preparation for the XII CPLP Youth Games 2025, Timor-Leste athletes and coaches participated in a landmark anti-doping education session held at Hotel The Ramelau. The training, organized by the National Sports Commission (CND), featured the first-ever delivery of the ADEL TAME course in Tetum, marking a historic step forward for clean sport education in the country.

The course, titled ADEL for Talented Athletes Competing at Major Events (TAME), was translated into Tetum to ensure accessibility and better understanding among local athletes. Participants explored key anti-doping topics, including the global anti-doping system, the Prohibited List, medication and supplement use, the doping control process, athlete rights and responsibilities, and the consequences of doping.

Participants who successfully completed the course received official certification from WADA, demonstrating their readiness to compete clean and uphold the values of fair play at the upcoming CPLP Youth Games.
