
Dili, February 20, 2025 – The National Sports Commission (NSC) successfully conducted its first Anti-Doping Workshop of 2025 during the annual event organized by the Gabinete de Inspeção e Auditoria (GIA). A total of 126 participants attended, including management and leadership representatives, staff members, and key partners from the Ministry of Youth, Sport, Art, and Culture (MoYSAC).
The workshop focused on strengthening integrity in sports by providing insights into anti-doping principles, international regulations, and best practices for ensuring fair competition. Key topics included the fundamentals of anti-doping, the responsibilities of sports organizations, and measures to prevent doping violations.

This initiative marks a significant step in reinforcing Timor-Leste’s commitment to clean sport. By equipping sports professionals and stakeholders with the necessary knowledge, NSC aims to establish a strong foundation for anti-doping efforts in the country.
The successful implementation of this workshop reflects ongoing efforts to align Timor-Leste’s sports framework with international standards. Future initiatives will continue to build on this momentum, ensuring that education and awareness remain central to the country’s anti-doping strategy.
