In a bid to strengthen their anti-doping initiatives, the Timor-Leste Anti-Doping team, currently on a study visit in Malaysia, participated in a pivotal webinar hosted by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) on March 28th, 2024. The webinar, titled “Effective Communications – Supporting Clean Sport,” was delivered by WADA’s Asia/Oceania regional office in Tokyo, emphasizing the critical role of communication in the fight against doping.
The session featured esteemed speakers, including Gavel, the Media Advisor from Sport Integrity Australia; Xie Li, the Deputy Director of the Education Department at CHINADA; and James Fitzgerald, the Head of Media Relations and Communications at WADA. With the target audience encompassing all Anti-Doping Organizations, the webinar served as a platform for sharing insights, best practices, and innovative communication strategies to uphold the integrity of sports globally.
