On Monday, March 25th, 2024, the Timor-Leste Anti-Doping from the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Arts, and Culture (MoYSAC), comprised of Mr. Cesarino da Silva, Mr. David Tomas de Deus, and Ms. Kerry Pither Cristalina Galhos met with Mr. Gobinathan Nair, the Director-General of SEARADO, and his team at Sports Singapore in Singapore.

During the meeting, the team presented progress on the establishment of NADO Timor-Leste and engaged in discussions regarding NADO governance structures and its operations, documents under WADA review, capacity-building and anti-doping events, and Anti-Doping Education Program 2024, etc. The delegation also visited the National Youth Sports Institute to gain insights into youth development programs, particularly in uncovering talent potential in sports. Ms. Irene Tan, a Doping Control Officer (DCO) trainer and TUE Administrator, provided a comprehensive explanation of the Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) process.




This study visit was funded by the UNESCO through cooperation between MoYSAC and UNESCO, highlighting the commitment to advancing anti-doping efforts in Timor-Leste.
