Athletes Support Personnel

Rights and Responsibilities

Like athletes, Athlete Support Personnel also have rights and responsibilities as per the Code. These include:

  • Being knowledgeable of anti-doping policies and rules which are applicable to you and to the athlete(s) you support
  • Using your influence on athlete values and behaviours to foster anti-doping attitudes
  • Complying with all anti-doping policies and rules which are applicable to you and the athlete(s) you support
  • Cooperating with the athlete testing program
  • Disclosing to relevant authorities whether you have committed any Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs) within the previous ten years
  • Cooperating with Anti-Doping Organisations (ADOs) investigating ADRVs

ADDITIONAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF ATHLETE SUPPORT PERSONNEL

  • To be knowledgeable of and comply with these Anti-Doping Rules.
  • To cooperate with the Athlete Testing program.
  • To use their influence on Athlete values and behavior to foster anti-doping attitudes.
  • To disclose to the National Olympic Committee of Timor-Leste and their International Federation any decision by a non-Signatory finding that they committed an anti-doping rule violation within the previous ten (10) years.
  • To cooperate with Anti-Doping Organizations investigating anti-doping rule violations. Failure by any Athlete Support Personnel to cooperate in full with Anti-Doping Organizations investigating anti-doping rule violations may result in a charge of misconduct under the National Olympic Committee of Timor-Leste’s disciplinary rules.
  • Athlete Support Personnel shall not Use or Possess any Prohibited Substance or Prohibited Method without valid justification. Any such Use or Possession may result in a charge of misconduct under the National Olympic Committee of Timor-Leste’s disciplinary rules.
  • Offensive conduct towards a Doping Control official or other Person involved in Doping Control by Athlete Support Personnel, which does not otherwise constitute Tampering, may result in a charge of misconduct under the National Olympic Committee of Timor-Leste’s disciplinary rules.

ADDITIONAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF OTHER PERSONS SUBJECT TO THESE ANTI-DOPING RULES

  1. To be knowledgeable of and comply with these Anti-Doping Rules.
  2. To disclose to the National Olympic Committee of Timor-Leste and their International Federation any decision by a non-Signatory finding that they committed an anti-doping rule violation within the previous ten (10) years.
  3. To cooperate with Anti-Doping Organizations investigating anti-doping rule violations. Failure by any other Person subject to these Anti-Doping Rules to cooperate in full with Anti-Doping Organizations investigating anti-doping rule violations may result in a charge of misconduct under the National Olympic Committee of Timor-Leste’s disciplinary rules.
  4. Not to Use or Possess any Prohibited Substance or Prohibited Method without valid justification.
  5. Offensive conduct towards a Doping Control official or other Person involved in Doping Control by a Person, which does not otherwise constitute Tampering, may result in a charge of misconduct under the National Olympic Committee of Timor- Leste’s disciplinary rules.
