Dili, 5 June 2025 – The National Sport Commission (NSC), in collaboration with the Timor-Leste Football Federation (FFTL), held an Anti-Doping Education and Learning (ADEL) session for the U-19 girl’s national football team at the Xanana Sport Center in Dili. The one-day training aimed to strengthen athletes’ knowledge of anti-doping rules, their rights and responsibilities, and the importance of clean and fair competition.

The session was held under the theme “Empowering Timor-Leste’s Athletes to Lead with Integrity, Fairness, and Excellence.” This initiative supports the athletes in continuing their learning through ADEL, with the ultimate goal of obtaining the International-Level Athlete Certificate, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the criteria as representatives of Timor-Leste.

This program reflects a growing national commitment to clean sport, especially as the team prepares for the ASEAN U-19 Girls’ Championship 2025 in Vietnam from 9 to 19 June. Through continued collaboration with national federations like FFTL, NSC is committed to building a new generation of athletes who compete with pride, integrity, and respect on the global stage.
