Dili, 11 October 2025 — The National Sports Commission (NSC), in collaboration with the Timor-Leste National Olympic Committee (TL-NOC), conducted a one-day Anti-Doping Education and Learning (ADEL) workshop for athletes and athlete support personnel (ASPs) preparing to represent Timor-Leste at the Asian Youth Games (AYG) 2025 in Bahrain, scheduled from 22 to 31 October 2025.

The workshop aimed to ensure that all participants fulfil the Olympic Council of Asia’s (OCA) expectation that athletes and their support personnel complete valid ADEL certification prior to participating in the Games. It also sought to strengthen participants’ understanding of Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs), the doping control testing process, and the rights and responsibilities of athletes and their support teams, while promoting clean sport values.

This initiative reflects Timor-Leste’s ongoing commitment to promoting clean, fair, and ethical sporting practices in line with international standards. It forms part of broader national programs to educate athletes and coaches on integrity in sport and to reinforce the country’s dedication to upholding the values of fair competition.
