On September 18 and 19, the National Sports Commission (NSC) conducted Anti-Doping Education and Learning (ADEL) training at the Timor-Leste Red Cross Meeting Room, Bairro Formosa, Dili. The sessions were aimed at educating athletes and Athlete Support Personnel (ASPs) on anti-doping practices and clean sport principles, concluding with participants earning ADEL certificates.

The training on September 18 was attended by 17 participants from the Timor-Leste Taekwondo National Federation. On September 19, 27 participants from the Timor-Leste Badminton Federation and the Timor-Leste Cycling Federation joined the program.

At the end of the sessions, all participants successfully obtained their ADEL certificates, further equipping them with the knowledge to uphold anti-doping standards in both national and international competitions. This marks another significant step in promoting fair play in Timor-Leste’s sporting community.
